Shoptalk put a debate on the Marketing & Media Stage over whether your next brand ambassador will or will not be AI. I argued the case against. Shoptalk led with it.

"Opinions came on strong and strategic insights ran hot at our epic Shoptalk Spring debate."Shoptalk

Output Is No Longer Scarce. Coordination Is.

AI gave every person 10x leverage. Give everyone 10x output and you don't get a 10x company, you get 10x more stuff. Why workflow, not agents or models, is the real question, and why the future belongs to architects.

The Math, the Magic, and the Machine

Data and measurement, creative and storytelling, systems and automation. Most teams are good at one, passable at a second, and losing money on the third. How to build an org that can actually hold all three.

From Assistant to Operator

AI is moving out of the assistant seat and into the decision. The control paradox: what you delegate, what you keep, and how to tell which is which before the platform decides for you.

When Content Gets Cheap, Clarity Gets Expensive

If AI can make almost anything, what becomes more valuable? The brands that win won't create more. They'll know who they are, what they stand for, and why anyone should care.

Will Your Next Brand Ambassador Be AI?

Synthetic creators, AI-generated influence, and the line between efficient and hollow. Where the economics genuinely work, and where an audience can always tell.

Tying Brand Investment to Enterprise Value

Brand budgets get cut first because nobody can defend them in the language finance speaks. Building the framework that connects brand spend to EBITDA and to what the business is worth.

What comes back

Lines that travel

The real test of a talk is what people say about it a week later, when nobody is asking. These all came back to me in writing, from people who were in the room.

It’s not AI that is going to steal your job. It’s someone using AI that will. Someone at Meta wrote to tell me they had already used it.
A career is not a sprint. It’s a forty-year marathon. Two people from the same panel wrote to me about this line the next day, separately.
Voices do not just need to be in the room. They need to be at equal volume. Carried out of a diversity panel by someone starting out in advertising, 2020.
Growth teams need to architect systems, not just manage channels. Quoted back to me a month later by someone who heard it at The Lead Summit, 2026.
Ugly creative for the win. A VP of performance marketing used it in his own talk that same week.
